Action: DoCamber

The camber state at any position within the schedule actions of a stage will be stored using the respective label. The same action is used to output camber results in load cases, Microsoft® Excel® spreadsheets or plot files.

SettingDescription
Action Code of the selected Action. It is possible to switch to another action without leaving and re-entering the input function.
Action will be skipped (Option) The action will be skipped in the calculation process if the option is selected.

Variant I - Store the camber at a certain position within the stage calculation

SettingDescription
Input-1 > Label Name of the label used for storing the results of a certain camber state at a certain position within the stage calculation

The results will be stored in load cases named #stage-name#label.

Automatic labels beg and end will be set when using the respective check boxes in the stage window instead the DoCamber action (see Construction stage: New/Modify/Copy ).

Note: In fact these load cases will not contain the camber information yet, but the sum of all loads of the summation load case (as defined in the Recalc Pad) up to the position where the DoCamber action is performed.
Input-2 > RmSet, Input-3 > Plot container, Output-1 > *.xls - *.pl Not applicable

Variant II - Generate the camber load cases at the position of horizontal level

SettingDescription
Input-1 > Label Input of * mandatory, which will generate the load cases with the camber results for all labels at a certain position in the stage calculation where there should be the horizontal elevation level. The results will be stored in load cases named #stage-name#label#c.
Input-2 > RmSet, Input-3 > Plot container, Output-1 > *.xls - *.pl Not applicable

Variant III - Generate an Excel file of the camber results

SettingDescription
Input-1 > Label Name of the label (* for all labels) for which the camber results should be output in the Microsoft® Excel® spreadsheet.
Input-2 > RmSet Name of the RmSet (standard type "Result") containing only the series of the nodes (Tab Elements and Nodes) for which the results should be output in the Microsoft® Excel® spreadsheet.
Note: The camber values in the Microsoft® Excel® spreadsheet will automatically contain the "displacements" Vy (global).
Input-3 > Plot container:Plot profile Not applicable
Output-1 > *.xls Name of the Microsoft® Excel® spreadsheet file, where the camber results will be stored

Variant IV - Generate plot files of the camber results

SettingDescription
lnput-1 > Label Name of the label for which the plot files should be generated
Input-2 > RmSet Not applicable
Input-3 > Plot container:Plot profile Name of the plot container and plot file where the camber results will be plotted

The prepared plot file must contain displacements and the camber load cases (#stage-name#label#c) as result components. (Variables can be used to generate a series of plot files, i.e. the camber results of a certain label for all stages (e.g. #<stage>#end#c) where <stage> is an internal variable for the stage name).

Output-1 > *.pl Output name of the plot file, where the camber results will be presented

If a series of plot file is generated, a variable must be used to adjust the particular output names (e.g. camb_end_<stage>.pl).

For details on plotting with variables see Action > DoPlot .
